Exploring the Outdoors *
group training walk

As we move toward the Vineyard “season” our favorite walking paths are becoming quite busy with runners, bicyclists, roller skaters, and dog walkers.
My high-energy 9-month-old pup and I need help navigating the crowds. Karen joined us on a walk recently where we encountered all of the above, and even a vehicle on a pedestrian path!
I’m confident now that we can continue our excursions with all that summer brings, but definitely looking forward to more supervised practice with this class.
— Ebba H.

Walking your dog should be more than just exercise.

Imagine beyond the leash- learn to view your walk as an exploration of the natural world guided by your dog's curiosity.

This distinctive class offers an innovative twist to the standard obedience group walking sessions. Rather than limiting our focus to basic commands, we’ll delve into a range of practical skills that significantly enhance both the safety and enjoyment of your walks.

Participants will engage in exercises that address real-world scenarios, equipping them with the tools to maintain control, improve communication with their dogs, and navigate various environments effectively. This comprehensive approach aims to create a fulfilling experience for both dogs and their owners, fostering a deeper connection as they explore the world together.

Join us to transform your walking experience into a pleasurable and secure adventure for both you and your canine best friend.

Puppy Class

A Class for Our Young Learners!

Puppies are adorable, energetic, and continually learning. Even at a young age, they are developing skills and forming emotional connections that will shape their adult lives.

What may seem like bad behavior is actually a way for your puppy to explore how the world works for them.

Join us in learning about how dogs learn and, most importantly, how you can support your puppy's development by establishing patterns that encourage better behavior and build great relationships.

We’ll cover important puppy topics such as what is and how to accomplish socialization, building emotional self-regulation and impulse control, handling exercises, beginning manners and life skills.

Beginning Obedience with Rally Fun

Explore a new and exciting approach to teaching basic obedience skills through Rally!

Rally combines elements of agility as you and your dog navigate a course together. At each Rally station, there will be a sign indicating the specific exercise you will perform. It's a fun way to practice essential skills such as loose-leash walking, sit, down, come, and more!

Our small class size means that you and your dog will learn skills easily without the pressure of a huge class around you. To enhance your dog's focus on you, we pay close attention to the details in order to create an environment that matches the appropriate level of distractions to their current abilities.

Consider your dog.g's training progress like the levels in school. Just as we wouldn't place a third grader in an advanced calculus class, we shouldn't expect our dogs to succeed in situations where they lack the necessary skills. But we often do, with results being a distracted dog and a frustrated owner.

Sounds interesting! Register today to get in on the fun!
